| 2,2 x 4,5 x 2,05 m | | wood, Pvc, water pump | The shape of the Big Pneuma is based on the coast line and altitude lines of Easter Island. The system of grey plastic tubes is being filled with water by means of a pump. The wooden altitude lines are connected to floating barrels. Step by step the altitude lines rise. During this proces a soft flow of water can be heared. After a couple of minutes the sculpture reaches its highest point. Suddenly, water is released causing the sculpture to collapse rapidly. Within seconds the altitude lines drop to their basis, accompanied by the sound of fast running water.Zuiderzee Museum | Zijlweg 2Enkhuizen NL Niederlande |
