Transitions Between DimensionsSome phenomena in Taiwan's architecture are quite fascinating. For instance, the veranda and the right to use it; illegal constructions that people build against the law. These phenomena exist in the gray area of rules. They remind me of the lane markings of the road, boundaries in ball sports and therelationships among people. I neither intend to create a boundary by pushing two different sides against each other nor erase it. On the contrary, I want to start with the dividing line and then distinguish the sides. If we imagine we can enlarge and move the line so that it becomes more obvious and has more dimensions, it will become large enough to make human beings a part of it, move with it, become a new dimension and transform in other dimensions. Besides the physical piece, this film and the installation in the exhibit space are two of the pieces in various art forms that illustrate the concept of my work. © All images, texts and the idea of the artists work are subject to the German copyright law and if pro rata the relevant collecting society and if pro rata the photographer.
