 Ubiquitous They
Ubiquitous They was conceived as a response to media propaganda related to the war on terror. Two large steel structures are driven by electric motors creating motion and re-generating some electricity. One machine is a circuitous generator in which an electric motor drives a system of belts and pulleys that spin an alternator and charge a car battery. The battery supplies power to an inverter, which creates the AC power to drive the second contraption. The second sculpture uses an electric motor and cam system which gyrate a television that plays a video compilation of news clips, market analysis, and commercials. © All images, texts and the idea of the artists work are subject to the German copyright law and if pro rata the relevant collecting society and if pro rata the photographer.
