I am presently working on a series of pieces that are based on the ideas of nature as the ultimate machine. These works combine natural objects such as branches and water with slow motors and drive systems. The aim of these landscape sculptures is to create systems that mimic natural occurances in absurd mechanical ways.
Born in Long Island N.Y. 1952. Fine Arts degree SUNY Oswego 1971.One year grad. study at Northern ariz. Univ.1973. moved to Jersey City N.J.1979 and built a studio. Recieved an N.E.A. felloship grant 1986. Began to work on kinetic and mechanical sculpture 1998.
