Martin Smith's work has developed from a fascination of rhythm, seriality and motion. Often investigating sequential and repetitive movement, mechanisms are exposed in order to deny any secrecy. It is reassuring and immensely satisfying to observe the hypnotic motion of the cams and levers. Working from his studio in the North of England, UK.
