| 38"W x 13'H | | Steel, Copper, Wire, Springs, | Inspired by David's love for the deserts of Northern Nevada, "Of Wind and Rust" has been designed to look at home amongst the sage and Junipers. Constructed with a blend of old and aged materials, this kinetic wind sculpture looks like an artifact from a past era. Weathered sheet metal from an antique billboard has been used to construct the wind-catching paddles and weathervane fin. Rusty springs from a Nevada ghost town are attached to wire found in the Black Rock Desert. An old Telegraph line is used for the axle. The axle hangs from an antique ceramic insulator.
